THE CATALOG OF SERIAL E-BOOKS
Charles Dickens, the famous English author, often publised his stories serial form in monthly magazines for several reasons: 1) it was convenient for longer stories that would take more time to read to the conclusion, and 2) the pause between installments meant that the readers would have more time to think about the characters.
It takes a while for new E-Book readers to become comfortable with turning pages on a computer's screen. That is especially true with stories of longer length. A key difference between short stories and long novels is that the author does have more time to develop characters that the reader would care about.
